Kassaro Nastassja
Our second breeding queen, an independant, feisty cat who did not 'do' shows. Tash had three litters of kittens and was neutered at the age of 4 in 2003. She stayed with us and led a happy life running around the gardens and fields until 2006 when she died of renal failure. I miss her a lot.
Champion Rumtumtugger Lara Croft
Lara was one of Tatiana's daughters, in fact she was Saskia's litter sister. But where Saskia had all the naughty genes Lara had all the good ones. She was a sweet cat, one of my absolute favourites and was happlily expecting her second litter of kittens when she died suddenly. A post mortem showed that she had a twisted uterus.
It was the saddest thing and 3 years on I still miss her.
Champion Tuscaloosa's Lion On The Rocks
Leo was our second stud boy, he came from Francesca Gagern in Austria. He was a lovely boy, sweet natured and so good with his girls. He retired from breeding two years ago and thankfully had a very happy ten months running free, chasing bunnies and doing all the things cats do best!
Leo died suddenly in 2006 just short of his 5th birthday... too young.
He sleeps on in his favourite spot under our apple tree.
Rumtumtugger Ilaria
Ilaria was just thirteen months old when she died from a particularly aggressive cancer. She was ill for a very short time. She was another of those sweet gentle cats who simply did not deserve to die so young.
She will always be in our hearts.
Rumtumtugger Ursula
Ursula left here at thirteen weeks of age. Her owner gave her back to me when she couldn't keep her. She was ill, but she rallied and enjoyed a year here with us before her death. I wish I had never sold her, she was a gorgeous, friendly cat who deserved so much better than she got.
Rumtumtugger Xylan
Unfortunately all breeders lose young kittens from time to time. We have lost a few, from those we have been unable to resuscitate at birth to those that live for a few weeks and then die. Every now and then one of these kittens makes a huge impression on your heart .
Young Xylan, pictured here at 6 weeks was born with grossly abnormal kidneys and my vet warned me that he would not live for long. He was bottle fed, slept in our bed with us and purred like a steam train.
He fought his illness bravely and even enjoyed racing around our garden last summer for about a month before he died at 14 weeks of age.
